Short-Barreled Rifle (SBR) - A shoulder-stocked rifle having a barrel less than 16" (as measured from the face of a closed bolt to the end of the permanent muzzle) or an overall length less than 26". Also included are certain pistols that accept detachable shoulder stocks. Antique guns and some guns listed on the Federal Curios & Relics list may be exempted from registration. Full automatic variants are not considered SBRs and are registered as machine guns. The Federal Transfer tax on any SBR is $200.

Options and Accessories: Each THUNDER carbine is customized to your taste. We have a wide range of accessories available for most rifles including the following features: tactical matte black or grey all-weather powder coat finish on exposed metal surfaces (see OPTIONS page for colors, patterns, and pricing), standard scope base with rings, self-ranging telescopic sight, long eye relief (LER) scope mount, LER telescopic sight or illuminated optical sight, peep iron sights, luminous night sights, collapsible or folding stock, pistol grip stock, synthetic stock, tactical sling, compact 5-round hunting magazine, lightweight folding bipod or monopod, flashlight adapter, bayonet lug, barrel porting/integral muzzle brake, muzzle brake/ghost front sight, threaded barrel, fixed or removable flash hider or muzzle brake, grenade launcher, heavy match barrel, barrel fluting, barrel shortening, and integral or detachable sound suppressor. Of these features, only the barrel shortening (under 16") and sound suppressor installation require payment of the Federal transfer tax of $200. If you live outside of Florida, the transfer of a suppressor or short barrel rifle (under 16") must be made through someone in your state who possesses a valid FFL. THUNDERBOLT: A light, fast handling, weatherproofed, bolt action rifle designed for tactical law enforcement and fast action hunting. Each rifle is custom rebuilt to meet the needs you specify. We guarantee a 30-day turn around time on in-stock rifles. We can convert Sako, Winchester, Remington, Savage, Ruger, and most other Mauser based bolt action rifles. Our conversions involve any of the following features you specify: shorter barrel length (14" - 20"); threaded barrel with detachable muzzlebrake/flash hider; barrel replaced with heavy or heavy fluted 14"-20" barrel and integral muzzle brake/flash hider; tactical matte black or grey all-weather powder coat finish on exposed metal surfaces (see OPTIONS page for colors, patterns, and pricing); synthetic stock of your choice; soft recoil pad; new trigger assembly; long eye relief (LER) scope base and rings; LER scope of your choice; standard or see-thru rings and base; Shepherd self-ranging scope (3x10x40); Butler Creek pop up lens covers; detachable/folding Harris bipod; tactical sling and swivels; emergency iron sights.
